About Mr. Schlegel
Christoph advises clients in the healthcare industry, with a particular focus on pharma, biotech, and medtech. He also works with private equity clients investing in healthcare and their portfolio companies. Christoph helps his clients make the right leadership choices to achieve maximum potential, leveraging his deep understanding of the industry and technology, as well as underlying scientific, regulatory, and political trends.
Based in Frankfurt, Christophs serves clients in Germany and across Europe, together with the Russell Reynolds healthcare team.
Christoph leverages over 20 years of experience in the healthcare and healthcare private equity ecosystem. Prior to joining Russell Reynolds, he was a partner at Bain & Company. At Bain, Christoph advised leadership teams in the pharma, biotech, and medtech industries on product and portfolio strategy, scenario planning, and the implications on organizational design and culture, ranging from corporate structure to redefining the collaboration between key departments, such as R&D and Commercial. For his private equity clients, Christoph focused on commercial due diligence and value maximization strategies. He started his career at Monitor (now part of Deloitte), where he led several launch strategy projects for blockbuster drugs and developed strategies for global medtech companies, particularly in the diagnostics space.
Christoph studied business and economics at the University of St. Gallen (HSG), Switzerland, and the London School of Economics, UK, majoring in financial and capital markets. He holds a lic. oec. (HSG) [MA Business & Economics] from the University of St. Gallen.
