Description

The client is seeking a Chief Revenue Officer to own and unify all organizational revenue into an integrated, accountable revenue strategy. This senior executive role supports sustainable financial results across philanthropy and corporate partnerships, earned income, programs, grants, events, and membership, and serves as a key external ambassador for funding relationships. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Chief Revenue Officer provides clarity and confidence to donors and partners, including when financial questions or pipeline challenges arise.

Responsibilities include developing and executing a multi-year, multi-stream revenue strategy for long-term financial sustainability; owning the annual revenue budget, forecasting, and revenue performance scorecard; reporting weekly revenue metrics; and partnering with the client’s CFO on revenue modeling, budget alignment, and long-range financial planning. The role maintains a robust revenue pipeline, identifies risks, and course-corrects as needed. It also manages major gift and philanthropy efforts from cultivation through close, drives donor stewardship to improve retention and engagement, and integrates grants into the overall philanthropic strategy.

The Chief Revenue Officer will build senior-level corporate partnerships and sponsorships aligned to measurable outcomes, developing and stewarding a tiered, data-driven corporate partnership portfolio across sponsorship, cause marketing, employee engagement, and community investment. The role also leads the organization’s largest product-based revenue program as both a key funding source and mission delivery platform, supporting cross-functional growth in participation, community reach, and digital sales while expanding access and ensuring leadership and financial literacy outcomes. Required qualifications include progressive revenue leadership experience (typically 10+ years) with demonstrated success across major gifts, corporate partnerships, earned income, and/or retail sales, along with direct sales and sales-management experience and the ability to coach and lead high-performing teams.
