Description

Program Officer include overseeing the programmatic initiatives of the National Caucus of Environmental Legislators (NCEL) to ensure alignment with organizational goals. Reporting to the CEO, the Chief Program Officer (CPO) will lead a team of four program managers in areas such as Climate and Energy, Conservation, Environmental Health, and Oceans. The CPO will be responsible for guiding the development, execution, and evaluation of programs to amplify NCEL's mission and impact, contributing significantly to organizational strategy and impact.

The ideal candidate for the Chief Program Officer position will have a passion for NCEL's mission, a proven track record of leading high-impact programmatic strategies, and the ability to engage diverse internal and external stakeholders. They will be a collaborative leader, strategic thinker, and advocate for environmental progress, with a focus on operationalizing environmental justice principles into policy solutions.
