The client is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to oversee all aspects of the organization's operations. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the COO will lead a team of Directors and Department Heads, administer direct service programs, and assist in strategic planning and implementation. The ideal candidate will have strong management experience, a passion for the mission, and expertise in risk management, compliance, reporting, and human resources.
The client, Child and Family Agency of Southeastern CT (CFA), provides mental health, medical, and supportive services to the community. The COO will serve as a strategic adviser to the CEO, developing organizational systems and processes to support growth and sustainability. Responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day operations, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with regulations and employment laws. The COO will also focus on expanding the client's impact through new site development, program expansion, and strategic partnerships.
Qualified candidates will have a Masters degree in business or nonprofit management, or equivalent experience. Experience working in nonprofits and senior management roles across finance, operations, administration, human resources, and IT is preferred. The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator, able to lead a high-performing team, and drive program excellence and accountability. The COO will play a critical role in advancing the client's mission and enhancing the organization's reach and resources.
