The client, a nonprofit organization serving youth in South Dakota, is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to oversee financial management, accounting, compliance, and technology support. The CFO will be a part of the management team and must uphold the organization's values and mission. Responsibilities include contributing to the strategic financial vision, advising the Board on financial matters, managing audits and reporting requirements, overseeing accounts payable and receivable, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and grant reporting.

Candidates for the CFO position should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, at least five years of financial leadership experience (preferably in nonprofits), and proficiency with financial software and spreadsheets. They must also have knowledge of US GAAP, IRS regulations, and tax compliance, as well as strong communication skills and experience working with auditors and boards. The CFO will be responsible for developing budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, analyzing financial data, and supervising finance and technology staff.
