The client is seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for The Asher House, a nonprofit organization dedicated to animal welfare. The CEO will report to the Board of Directors and will be responsible for leading the organization through its next phase of growth. This individual will need to possess strong leadership and management skills to drive organizational success, scale operations, and advance the mission of animal welfare. The CEO will work closely with the leadership team to inspire innovation and ensure meaningful contributions to animal welfare and community engagement.
Located in Salem, Oregon, The Asher House is a sanctuary that rescues and rehabilitates animals that have been abused, abandoned, or discarded. Founded by Lee Asher, the organization provides sanctuary to a variety of animals and promotes animal adoption through social media and community engagement. The Asher House has experienced rapid growth due to its commitment to animal rescue, education, and community building. The CEO will play a key role in strategic leadership, organizational management, fundraising, financial oversight, external relations, and board relations to further the organization's mission.
The CEO will be responsible for providing visionary executive leadership, overseeing day-to-day operations, developing strategic plans, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation, and building a high-performing team. In addition, the CEO will lead fundraising initiatives, cultivate donor relationships, develop sponsorships, and work closely with the founder to leverage social media and community engagement. Financial management, external relations, communications, and board relations will also be key responsibilities for the CEO in advancing the mission of The Asher House.
