With over 35 years of senior leadership experience, Cheryl is an expert in talent strategy, organizational culture and advising top leadership on governance and human resources. She has worked with private, public and not-for-profit organizations, government agencies and volunteer groups, shaping cultures and driving organizational success. Cheryl’s background includes executive roles in strategic planning, compensation, human resources, communications and leading major change management and organizational restructuring initiatives. She has a proven track record in succession planning and governance, with a particular focus on aligning talent with organizational goals and fostering high-performance cultures. Cheryl currently serves as Chair of Dalhousie University’s Board of Governors and is a member of the Atlantic Economic Council. She has an ICD.D, Master of Environmental Studies, and a Bachelor of Science. In recognition of her leadership and impact, Cheryl was named one of the Globe & Mail’s Top 50 Executives in 2021.
