The client is seeking a Chief Commercial Officer to lead a chemical distribution business within their portfolio company. The private equity sponsor is looking to heavily invest in driving the company's scale through both organic and inorganic methods. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing go-to-market strategies, implementing commercial playbooks, and improving data quality and reporting systems to increase revenue.
The client's private equity partner has a history of successfully scaling businesses in the lower middle-market, with a focus on various industries such as IT, business products, and consumer services. They work closely with management teams to create value in their portfolio companies, owning 15 companies with $2.2B in assets under management. The sponsor is looking for a passionate and committed leader who can honor the company's past while leading it into the future.
The ideal candidate for this role will have experience as a top commercial leader in a company with revenues ranging from $500 million to $2 billion, or as the number two commercial leader in a larger enterprise with revenues exceeding $2 billion. Solid integration experience is required, and a background in sales, marketing, and ecommerce is preferred.
