Opportunity Details

The client is seeking individuals with expertise in mental health clinical governance to join their Board of Trustees on a voluntary basis. Board members are required to attend meetings throughout the year and actively participate in committees to ensure the successful operation of the Board. Ideal candidates will have a background in Counselling, Psychotherapy, Clinical Psychology, or Counselling Psychology, with at least 5 years of clinical practice experience.
Responsibilities for this role include supporting continuous quality improvement of service delivery, ensuring clinical policies meet legal and ethical standards, providing advice on clinical governance issues, and acting as deputy DLP when necessary. Board members will also be responsible for setting strategic objectives, attending and participating in meetings, promoting the organization's mission, and maintaining confidentiality about board discussions. Candidates should have a deep understanding of mental health service delivery in the non-profit sector.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in guiding the client's clinical oversight responsibilities and contributing to the overall success of the organization. They will work closely with other Board Members to ensure the organization adheres to policies and procedures, complies with regulations, and achieves its strategic objectives.
