Opportunity Details

The client is seeking four new Board members to join the Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation (OPDC), a planning and delivery agency focused on regenerating the 650-hectare Old Oak and Park Royal Opportunity Area in West London. The Board members will provide strategic oversight, independent challenge, and expert advice to the executive team, monitor financial and operational performance, and promote the OPDC area as a prime location for investment, living, and working. They are looking for individuals with expertise in urban regeneration, including real estate, infrastructure, urban design and planning, community engagement, sustainability, economic development, and institutional finance.
The Old Oak project within the OPDC area aims to create 9,000 homes and 11,000 jobs across 70 acres of publicly owned land. Board members will play a crucial role in ensuring that the plans and programs of the OPDC reflect the needs and aspirations of existing residents and businesses, as well as newcomers to the area. The ideal candidates will have a strong commitment to inclusive team working, be strategic thinkers with excellent communication skills, and uphold the highest standards of governance and public probity. The client is particularly interested in applicants who reflect the diversity of the project and the city.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of one of the UK's most substantial and exciting regeneration projects, as the OPDC moves from the planning phase into large-scale delivery. Board members will help shape the future of the Old Oak and Park Royal Opportunity Area, creating a revitalized urban district with new investment, affordable housing, and a transformed public realm. The client is looking for individuals who are passionate about urban regeneration and committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion to join the Board and contribute to the success of this ambitious project.
