About Mr. Hogenauer
Bill Hogenauer is a Partner at JM Search and a member of the Firm’s Technology Practice. Bill leads our center of excellence for technology and product leaders (CTO & CPO). He specializes in executive search engagements for high growth early-stage, scale-up, and middle-market technology companies, as well as private equity sponsors and their portfolio businesses. Bill also co-leads our growing COE focused on AI and ML (including GenAI).
Bill joined JM Search in 2013 after four years of leading corporate and business development as a Vice President for a global manufacturing technology business. Prior to that, he helped grow a small business and lead it to exit (previously launching and leading engineering for three other businesses). Bill’s operating roles have included engineering and product management, sales & business development, and corporate leadership in both private and public companies. As a result, he understands what it takes to lead a technology team and product organization through the most exciting (and the most difficult) times.
Bill grew up on Long Island and graduated from Lehigh University with a B.S. in Materials Science Engineering. He now lives with his wife of 23 years and three awesome children in Bucks County, PA. When not deeply engaged in creative problem-solving with a candidate, client, or co-worker, Bill enjoys time with his family, cycling (road and mountain), adventure sports, travel, golf, and proving (over and over again) that you don’t have to spend more than $20 to find a great bottle of wine.
