Arto began his career in human resources in 1990 and has since worked as a management consultant in various roles like efficiency development and corporate governance. Before joining Stanton Chase, Arto was a leading figure with a mid-sized HR consulting company for which he also served as Chairman of the Board. In this role, he also founded a new business specialized in outsourced HR services. This company was later sold to an international SW company. Arto has broad expertise in executive search, especially in industrial and financial services. He has witnessed the impact of technological transformation at many companies and added value by delivering next-level management competencies. Arto’s analytical approach, management, and business-building experience together with his deep understanding of the role of motivation in career building, provide him with a strong background in creating successful management teams for clients. As chairman of the nomination committee for Board Member of the Year recognition, he has broad insight into corporate governance aspects, diversity relevance, and board competence balance. In addition to client needs, he is well acquainted with the relevant candidate market. Fluent in Finnish, English, and German, Arto holds a master’s degree in social sciences from the University of Helsinki. Married to a professor, Arto is an avid dinghy sailor and biker who also enjoys cross-country skiing with his family.
