Antonio Maturo is a consultant in Spencer Stuart's Geneva/Zurich offices. He focuses on recruiting senior executives in human resources, finance, marketing and sales, legal and general management, primarily for consumer-driven companies in the fast-moving consumer goods, fashion and luxury businesses. Antonio currently leads the Consumer Practice in Europe, the Middle East and Africa and formerly led the Financial Officer Practice for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Over the last several years, Antonio has established himself as a trusted adviser of both publicly listed and privately held companies based in Europe. Deep consulting experience Before joining the firm in 2005, Antonio spent more than 17 years in the financial audit, HR and management consulting industry. He was a managing director for BearingPoint and a partner at Arthur Andersen Business Consulting, advising clients throughout Europe in the areas of HR, leadership development and change management. He also led the consumer practice in Switzerland, consulting with clients about HR function setup and transformation, career counseling, change and leadership, performance management, post-merger integration, and people and knowledge services. As a business solutions leader in the field of “people and organization,” Antonio worked across industries and countries throughout Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. Antonio also directed a program that developed new methods and tools to enhance creativity, innovation, team-building and leadership, including tools for change management and consultant education programs. He began his career in Arthur Andersen’s audit division, where he specialized in working with clients in London’s financial services industry and in the regional headquarters of U.S. companies in Geneva. Antonio holds a degree in management and economics from the University of Lausanne in Switzerland and a diploma for Human Resources Hidden Cost Audit from France’s University of Lyon. He speaks French, Italian and English.
