Anna Sun is a key member of our APAC Financial Services and China Business Account team. She brings over a decade of experience in C-suite and board-level search, with deep expertise across asset and wealth management, insurance, banking, private capital, and development finance. Anna has a proven track record of recruiting bilingual and bi-cultural leaders for multinational financial institutions. She is particularly skilled at identifying talent for roles requiring navigation of cross-market, multi-regulatory, and culturally complex environments. Her expertise is firmly rooted in China and enhanced by broad regional experience. Having lived and worked in Beijing, Shanghai, Singapore, and the UK, Anna brings a global perspective anchored in deep local insight—enabling her to effectively support both local and pan-regional mandates, particularly in joint ventures, emerging markets, and new business setup contexts. Before joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Anna was an Associate Director at a leading Asia-focused financial services executive search firm. She began her career at a London-based boutique specializing in the Asian financial sector. She holds a BA in Business Administration from Heilongjiang University and a Master’s in Project Management from the University of Warwick. She is fluent in English and Mandarin.
