The Chief of Staff at the client is a key strategic partner to the Chief Executive Officer and Cabinet, responsible for driving the execution of the organization's long-term vision and priorities. This role involves ensuring the effectiveness of the leadership team, maintaining productive decision-making processes, and fostering cohesion within the organization. The Chief of Staff will also provide thought partnership to the CEO, oversee governance structures, manage internal communications, and lead strategic projects, including crisis response and cross-functional initiatives.

The ideal candidate for this position will be a seasoned leader with a deep understanding of systems-level change in education, change management, governance, and strategic execution. They will be aligned with the client's anti-racist, pro-Black values and have the ability to navigate complexity, lead laterally, and cultivate a strong organizational culture. The Chief of Staff will drive organizational-wide priorities, track outcomes, and maintain systems for accountability while serving as a strategic thought partner to the CEO.

In addition to overseeing the effectiveness of the leadership team and guiding organizational health, the Chief of Staff will lead network-wide planning structures to ensure cross-functional collaboration and operational excellence. They will represent the CEO internally and externally as needed, manage high-priority special initiatives, and serve as the organization's point person in navigating crises and acute circumstances. Overall, the Chief of Staff plays a crucial role in driving the client's mission of providing unparalleled educational opportunities to scholars in Los Angeles Latinx, Black, and recent immigrant communities.
