Alex Sanchez is a Principal in the Industrial Technology Practice at JM Search where he specializes in Aerospace & Defense. He focuses on recruiting CEOs, group P&L executives, and functional heads of commercial, operations, and engineering. His clients include multinational aerospace manufacturers, defense technology leaders, aviation innovators, and NewSpace pioneers. He also works with private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies to build transformational leadership teams. Prior to joining JM Search, Alex was a Principal in the Los Angeles office of Heidrick & Struggles, where he co-led the Space Practice and served as a core member of the firm’s Aerospace & Defense Practice. Previously, he was a Sector Leader and later Principal in the Aviation, Aerospace & Defense Practice at Korn Ferry where he supported and led numerous senior-level engagements, including CEOs, Presidents, COOs, CFOs, and group P&L executives. Alex served in infantry and operations roles in the U.S. Marine Corps, deploying twice to Baghdad and Al Anbar Province in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Alex is a native of Los Angeles and earned his Bachelor of Science in Management from the Graziadio Business School at Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA.
