Based in São Paulo, Aldo Bergamasco leads theConsumer Practice in Latin America and is a member of the HealthcareandEducation & Social Impact practices, focusing on senior-level searches for Brazil-based andmultinational organizations. He brings more than 30 years of professional experience andprior to joining Spencer Stuart, worked with two leading executive search firms in Brazil as head of their consumer goods and healthcarepractices. He is also the leading consultant of the functional practice of Marketing, Communications and Sales officers in Brazil. Extensive leadership experience in consumergoods andhealthcare Aldo is a seasoned consumergoods andhealthcareprofessional, helping clients within Brazil andLatin America find andrecruit general managers andexecutives in the finance, marketing, commercial, IT andoperations disciplines. He led the consumerandhealthcarepractice in two executivesearchfirms, prior to joining Spencer Stuart. He has been co-leading searches with healthcaresuch as CEO’s and senior category heads. Prior to Spencer Stuart, he worked at Johnson & Johnson for 12 years, where he held several positions, including as marketing director for Latin America, andalso leading the consumerhealthcaregroup, responsible for several launches andcategories in healthcare, having introduced a new substance in the nutritional market, leading the development of the home healthcarecategory. He also worked for Heineken, Mead Johnson Nutritionals, A.T. Kearney andMelhoramentos (a leading Brazilian company in the cellulose, paper andpublishing industries). Additionally, he was president of Mary Kay Cosmetics in Brazil, andwas the CEO anda board member at Scarlat, a family-owned business in the hygiene andcleaning products industry. He has also been an entrepreneur successfully founding the Baden Baden Brewery. As a management consultant, he had the chance to work for BMS andNovartis. For BMS, he led andimplemented projects in product sales anddistribution, retailing, implementation of a new salesforce, new support to the OTC businessandoptimization of the supply chain for a key category. For Novartis, he was key providing support to evaluate the introduction of the medical nutrition businessin Argentina. Aldo holds a B.S. in mechanical aeronautical engineering from the Technological Institute of Aeronautics/ITAanda post-graduate degree in businessfrom Fundação Getúlio Vargas. He speaks fluent English and Spanish.andPortuguese (native). In addition, he has taught strategy and marketingM.B.A. courses andhas been a boardmember for relevant industry associations.
